Remember what I said about making these to fill every room in my house? I am being taken over with a love for crocheted lace. Whether it is just loving the ones my grandma made -- seeing lace & doilies on other's blogs -- or just browsing through crocheted lace books... I just have this urge to immerse myself in this.
..
And when I saw this rich hue of pink in this peony that comes from our garden.....
.
.....why, yes. I just had to put this pink crochet thread to use.
.
hook--1.4mm .....thread--size 30
pattern: Magic Crochet magazine (edit--Oops! Voices of Spring doily, Decorative Crochet magazine [same publisher as Magic Crochet], issue: May 2001 No. 81)
.
Just a few more rows and it will be finished. Just in time for the apple tree blossoms to fall pink all over our lawn.

Wow! I love that doily! I'm not usually a fan of pink but that one is so amazing! I can see cherry blossoms in my mind...Just lovely, Dawn. Thanks so much for sharing!
It's beautiful! I love the pink color you chose.
Which brand of thread did you use?
Dawn, this is just gorgeous. I don't know how to crochet, so, I am happy to admire your work - thanks for sharing.
I'm a brand new crocheter. Your work is inspiring and lovely. Ribbon Candy is delicious too!!!
Can you tell us what issue of Magic Crohet you used for the pattern?
Thanks,
that pink is so pretty.
Hi Dawn,
This is the most delicate work I've ever seen...just beautiful. The color is exact to the peony. Thanks for the kind words about Courtney's quilt, she's excited that it's almost finished.

Wow pink lace , looks fantastic .
Beautiful, especially in that strawberry ice cream colour. Crochet in every room - what a lovely thought. I'm sure you could easily achieve that!
Oh it's so pretty. And I love the colorful ribbon candy afghan.
Nice to see another colored doily. I love making these old designs seem new again by using a colored thread. Makes a very interesting decor statement, don't you think?
Had to comment -- this took my breath away.
