aran afghan

I want my dream living room to look like this (minus the washer & dryer, of course.)

l.o.v.e. the color of the walls soooooooo much & when I was at the fabric store recently --- with nary a thought of purchasing any yarn --- I stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted this yarn  --> Soft Baby Steps in aqua.

Why, it is the perfect color of my dream living room!!....

So I snatched up enough to do this aran isle throw to match my new dream living room.

I love the texture in these stitches.

Bobbles, front and back double crochet, skipping stitches and wrapping stitches to enclose stitches = tons of texture.

It's the perfect color & afghan design for when I have my feet up & I'm watching the rest of the family scrape off all of the old paint & rolling on that new aqua paint color in my newly decorated living room....

Now.  Who do you think will be finished first?

Kids + husband painting?

or

Me crocheting this afghan?

Sigh...what a charming post. Love those kitty feet... and Love the color of your new room and afghan. I would certainly hope the painting would be done first, but alas, it will probably be the afghan.

I'm also sighing over that beautiful laundry room. You have great taste, that is for sure!

Have fun crocheting your pretty new project!

Oh my goodness - I love that laundry room - I want that laundry room! And it would make a beautiful living room - one you'd want to bring your tea tray into and sit and crochet forever in! I didn't know Red Heart did a soft baby yarn - thanks for the tip! I had always thought of Red Heart as a scratchy acrylic and hadn't worked with it! I will have to go check it out! Thank you!

Bet you will be first finished if your family is like me and mine. More dreamers than doers, can´t quite remember how often we have already planned to paint new our living room but anyhow it never seems to be the right time for it, it´s too dusty and too dirty to do it, it´s raining and the new paint will take years to dry and so on. Never running out of big excuses for not-doing it. But a crochet and a comfy chair are always available, so you will be the winner and I also think that white walls look georgous with that aqua blanket, too!
