a kitty clutch




Our daughter works on a farm with 5 horses & a zillion cats.  The owner loves her kitties like nobody's business.




So when one of those kitties dies, it is truly devastating to her.




And that is exactly what happened.  Tinker died and our daughter wanted to give her employer something to help alleviate the pain.

So of course, my mind is scrambling ... "what can I make her??!..."

Something from yarn?  Fabric?

Knowing that I needed it yesterday & the for the simple fact that I can sew way faster than I can knit or crochet ~ sewing it is!




A little wallet clutch with applique kitty.




Completely made up from my head ----> read: no pattern.




I love cats & I love how cute this turned out.  And so quickly.

Seriously.  I need to sew more.

    Oh wow! I'm very impressed that there seems to be no craft that you cannot master! This is one of the cutest items I've seen in a long time. And no pattern? Wow! I hope your daughter's employer was able to garner some comfort from yours and your daughter's thoughtfulness. And by the way, love your kitty supervising the process (and love his/her name, too).     so sweet, all of it. I had the same thought...sewing IS so much faster than the needles and hook and makes such a nice change once in a while.
    your kitty seems so
    interested...or, as it's said in certain circles on Flickr!!! quality control on duty... if the cat sits on it, lies on it or just looks interested...it passes!!!! :)
