It's time to finish this doily.
I mean! Look at how gorgeous it will be once it is finished~
And since I started it waaaaaaaaay back here...
...and with the sweet fragrance of lilacs perfuming the air,
I am filled with a zeal that should never be ignored.
(Besides ---> I am embarrassed that I have waited this long to get this thing done!)
So, yes! I.will.finish.this. before the lilacs fade
& with ooooooooooonly 26 more rows to go ~~
~~well...I had better get hookin'.
Only 26!!! It is so lovely already Dawn!

It's a lovely doily already! I was quite surprised to see how many rows have still to be added as it looks almost finished already. Good luck with finishing it. Our lilac tree isn't even in flower yet.

It looks beautiful. You are doing a great job on it.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Your pictures are so inspiring! I have not tried to work with such a tiny crochet hook and crochet thread.... I am tempted to try a wee small doily when I get a moment. I am not sure I can see that small! :O) Any suggestions for patterns/books that have pretty beginner patterns? Thank you, as always, for your sweet replies to all my questions! Wish we could be neighbors! ;O)
ReplyDeleteOh, very beutiful.

So beautiful - both the doily and the lilacs. Lilacs are my favorite - wish they would grow in the South! You better keep crocheting as the lilac season is a short one - just kidding!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I have followed your blog for a long time and am continually wowed by your lace crochet. I am an obsessive knitter who never got beyond the basics of crochet, but my dear grandma used to make the most gorgeous doilies. Yours are reminiscent of hers, and you have given me the inspiration I need to learn to make one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful, Dawn.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it, and the pattern. If you don't mind us asking, what book is this in? Love, love, love it. Beautiful work!
