Cardinal
Wanda Todd
red bird in flight
singing
I tried not to listen
flying
I tried not to see
landing
captured my attention
singing
my heart listened
bathing
water drops splashing
comforting
tears heal my soul

I love cardinals. To see them in our trees & the deep endearment of the male cardinal for his soft hued female mate just mesmerizes me.
And whenever I see a cardinal project, whether it be in the quilting world or just the crafty world, I always earmark it as something I must try.
And now that I finished this cardinal wall-hanging designed by Wendy, I can't wait to hang it for the Christmas holidays.
(Sidenote: This is only the 2nd time that I have machine quilted a 'design'....so remember this is a novice -- [read--->beginner!] attempting to look professional in her quilting.)
Good morning, Dawn!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out fabulous! I don't see a thing wrong with your machine quilting! Congratulations on getting a project completed - you ought to be so proud of yourself. I am certainly proud of you!!!
Great job machine quilting - I can't wait to see a picture of it hanging at Christmas! I love the bright colors of it.

It is just beautiful...Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou're getting pretty brave there "beginner", and pretty fance too! I wish I had your courage. I have wanted to try quilting an actual quilt (the purple pinwheels) for sometime now (5 months, but who is counting!) and I just cannot muster the courage no matter how much I practice. I LOVE this wallhanging you did. It is so pretty and enchanting with its Christmas shade. Great work. As always, your biggest fan.
