I put it all over my fingers on my left hand while i'm crocheting with the tiny needles and it works great. Then i can just take it off and throw it away. Way cheaper than those sticky dot thimbles.Sodacoasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16581216512284286141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1569057628326185608.post-23183026359152856812008-04-22T19:42:00.000-05:002008-04-22T19:42:00.000-05:00Hi Dawn!! It is a Roxanne thimble and I highly recomend them too! I do agree you have to try them on and sometimes it takes a lot of tries to find the perfect fit. If you go to some local quilt shows they usually have vendors that can help you find one. Happy Stitching!Carahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02672136758876192059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1569057628326185608.post-19038114701285133892008-04-21T09:07:00.000-05:002008-04-21T09:07:00.000-05:00Now this is amazing. I have a project ready to go but a good thimble is a very serious issue. :-( Good luck finding one. Your stitches are so close and even.<BR/>I don't do much hand quilting so don't know much about the different thimbles, but when I do I like those softer leather thimbles that have an opening to accommodate your nail. This means air can get to your skin and I find you can "feel" the needle better through the leather than through a metal thimble. It's probably just a matter of trying a few until you find one that suits you.Knot Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03918110407758829513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1569057628326185608.post-52136130400675404502008-04-19T13:33:00.000-05:002008-04-19T13:33:00.000-05:00okay so I meant thimble not bobbin....my head is a...okay so I meant thimble not bobbin....my head is a bit tired since I stayed up last night to 12:30 sewing.Dandelion Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15508649162194984496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1569057628326185608.post-33032219369991020452008-04-19T13:32:00.000-05:002008-04-19T13:32:00.000-05:00You are so talented. I think it stays on better too. I have been really busy sewing this week on the new machine. I will post some of my projects later this weekend. :)Dandelion Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15508649162194984496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1569057628326185608.post-55794330506648289752008-04-19T13:24:00.000-05:002008-04-19T13:24:00.000-05:00Dawn, your projects are simply divine! I have two thimbles that I adore. One is a Roxanne thimble - make sure you try on several cause they vary in size. The other is made by TJ Lane. Both of them have open tops (probably made for ladies with longer nails) and the dimples are on both the top and part of the sides. They are a bit spendy but well worth the price. Hope this helps. Again. lovely work on your projects. I'm jealous!Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15210365786156936210noreply@blogger.com
